A new manufacturing building is nearing completion at the Claremont-based Davis Frame Company, a leader in the timber-frame structures industry. The new 13,000-square foot building is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver Certified structure, and will house special Speed Cut machinery and Davis Frame's bio-based soy foam application process. The expanded production facility, which is nearly double the size of the facility it replaces, will make it possible for Davis Frame to add environmentally friendly soy-based spray foam that will be used in their timber frame structures. They plan to hire additional individuals to staff this growing company. Davis Frame will be promoting the field application of bio-based insulation spray foam directly to builders.
