Our design staff is overseen by President Jeff Davis, who has worked in the timber frame industry for three decades and has designed and/or overseen the design of hundreds of custom home plans for timber frame houses, home additions, commercial buildings, porches, and barns.

1. Full Design Services Now Offered
Our gifted and experienced team of timber frame designers, lead by our President, Jeff Davis, is ready to work with you and your project coordinator to develop the design of your dream timber frame home. This option is good for those who want to be personally and more heavily involved in the design process. We specialize in energy-efficient, ecologically-friendly, and green building options.

2. Standard Design Service
When signing a Design Deposit Agreement for design and timber frame services, one of our designers will work closely with you and your Project Coordinator to develop a design that meet your needs, budget, lifestyle and land. Floor plans and elevations are created based on sketches and specifications. Cross sections, details, and a foundation plan will also be created for you to give to builders, engineers, and to submit for permits (not included are complete architectural services such as HVAC and electrical layout). This choice is a good choice for the actively involved home owner who is willing to pick the details of the house from flooring to electrical fixtures with their General Contractor.

We offer a variety of models that can be used as a starting point for your specific design. You can choose one of these models as it is designed for a less expensive option rather than developing a custom designed home. Please visit our models in our timber frame floor plans section.
At that time, we will compile a quote for a timber frame package which will include all of the materials and specifications you have indicated. Upon acceptance, a Package Purchase Agreement will be prepared based on the quote. If you enter in to a standard design contract with Davis Frame Company, the Standard Design Service Fee is credited toward the purchase.
3. Combination client architect /
in-house timber frame and panel design services
If you have hired a local architect to build your timber frame home, we can also work seamlessly with them, preferring to be involved in the design process early on helping to facilitate the timber frame design for performance, aesthetics and functionality. We can also take the conceptual plans developed by your local architect and develop a complete construction set of drawings. If you are already working with an architect, please have them send along your plans for quoting or review. We can take plans .
